Ancient books cryogenic insecticidal disinfection room

Low-temperature freezing of ancient books is a method of treating pests in ancient books. It was first invented by the Yale University Library in the United States. Put the collection into a polyethylene plastic bag and seal it. At the same time, start the freezer and lower the temperature to -20 ~ -30°C before placing the collection. After the collection is placed in a freezer at -20 to -30°C for about a week, the insects will be frozen to death. The advantage of low-temperature freezing insecticide is that it does not destroy the structure and content of books, and it can kill various types of pests. However, this method also has some disadvantages, such as requiring professional equipment and personnel to operate, the processing process may be complicated, and the processing cost is high. It should be noted that not all ancient books are suitable for low-temperature freezing insecticide methods. For example, it is not suitable for killing insects on painted calligraphy and painting works or painted wood carvings. Low temperature will make the glue components in these collections brittle. For the same reason, oil paintings are not suitable for this method of killing insects. Wooden equipment cannot be frozen to kill insects, as low temperatures will cause the animal glue to become brittle. If the material of the collection is brittle or brittle, freezing for insecticide may not be an option. Since leather is not suitable for freezing, books with leather covers should not be frozen for insecticide. Therefore, before using low-temperature freezing insecticide methods, you need to understand the material and type of books to ensure safe and effective treatment.

The working principle of low-temperature freezing insecticide in ancient books

Using T.R.T insecticidal and disinfection technology, low temperature and drying methods are used to carry out insecticidal

and disinfection treatment on the archives. Pests and fungi are one of the important causes of archive damage.

Temperature and humidity are two basic factors for the survival of pests and fungi. The temperature and humidity are suitable,

and the growth, development and reproduction are fast. On the contrary, growth and development will be inhibited,

and even death will occur. Long-term incubation and low temperature will reduce the activity of enzymes, terminate normal metabolic activities,

and cause death. When the pest is in the lethal temperature zone, free water in the cells overflows into the intercellular spaces and freezes.

As the ice crystals continue to expand, the cell membrane is mechanically damaged, and the protoplasm is dehydrated and concentrated,

leading to solidification. This solidification is irreversible and results in the death of the pest.

Functions of low-temperature freezing insecticide and disinfection room for ancient books

1. Low-temperature function: It can lower the low-temperature freezer to below -35°C within 120 minutes, drop it from normal temperature to -35°C,

maintain -35°C for 48 hours, and then rise back to normal temperature.

2. Heating function: It has the function of adjusting the slow heating of insecticide and disinfection.

3. Drying function: It has the function of eliminating water vapor in the air and keeping the files dry (start dehumidification

when the machine stops and returns the temperature to 0°C, and the dehumidification temperature rises to normal temperature,

and the humidity in the warehouse is between 45% and 65%).

4. Pesticide function: It can kill all pests in the file (adults, larvae, eggs, pupae), and the killing rate is 100%.

5. Disinfection function: It can kill microorganisms in files.

6. Protection function: During the process of insecticide and disinfection, the files are protected from damage by any physical and chemical factors.

7. Moisture-proof protection function: It has drying and moisture-proof protection functions. It can kill insects at low temperature without moisture or dripping water.

8. Control function: Fully automatic control, with powerful, standard, fast and other insecticidal mode selections, one-button operation, and unmanned management.

9. Monitoring function (optional): It has remote communication function, can monitor in different places, regularly displays the working status and historical records of the insecticide and disinfection room, and can realize email and SMS alarm functions. It has a USB interface that can connect to external devices and display Generate or print data log plots or graphs.

10. Historical data record saving function: The equipment operating parameters can be exported through a USB flash drive to facilitate understanding of the equipment operating status and provide a basis for maintenance of the equipment.

11. Remote control function: On-site equipment can be operated through mobile APP software (any area on the network), and the parameter screen is consistent with the touch screen. (optional)

System requirements for low-temperature freezing insecticide and disinfection chamber for ancient books

1. Permission management: The control system should be set up with two levels: operator and user. If you log in to the system at different levels, the corresponding operation permissions will be different. After the set and verified parameters are saved, they will not be lost even if the PLC is powered off for a long time.

2. System monitoring: When the unit is running, relevant real-time data will be displayed on the main monitoring screen for easy viewing. The unit can also be controlled in real time according to the unit's requirements.

3. Alarm record: When the system fails, the control system will display the cause of the failure and display and store it in the alarm record screen.

4. System settings: including system configuration settings, system parameter settings, alarm parameter settings, and calibration parameter settings. The setting parameters can be changed according to actual needs to meet actual requirements.

5. It is equipped with two sets of operating modes: automatic and manual: the two states can operate independently, and can also switch between each other without disturbance.
